This paper tries to deal with how George Orwell, who was best known for his satire, wishes to turn the world upside down and make people question their preconceived ideas about the way the world works through his satiric approach. According to him- Satire is a tool to expose faults in society and utilize them as a mirror through which the world can look at itself. He was essentially a political writer who wrote of his own times, a man of intense feelings and fierce hates. He hated intellectuals, although he was a literary critic. He despised the Communists, though he served in the stalwart armed forces in the Spanish Civil War. He hated leftists, although he was a Socialist
